Hi!​

​I'm Isabel, an independent journalist, producer and features writer. 

​

My work has been featured in Reuters, The Financial Times, The Guardian and the BBC across both text and radio. I've also presented and produced BBC long-form podcasts.

In a nutshell, I now cover cultural trends across tech, business and money. I was one of the first reporters to investigate crypto and went on to spend nearly five years covering the world of startups and venture capital. During that time, I was nominated for Tech Journalist of the Year 2021. I was also invited on as a BBC radio commentator to discuss the major stories of the day and moderated dozens of panels around the world.

 

I spent two years in Mexico with Reuters, where I worked on the Latin America news hub in a fast-paced newsroom, ​regularly interviewing business leaders and reporting on the region's political intrigues.

 

I returned to the UK in 2024, and went freelance (so far, so good!)
